The Pretender DVD

The Pretender was debuted on the 19th of September 1996 and ended on the 13th of May 2000. It has four (4) seasons with eighty-eight (88) episodes. It follows the life of Jarrod, a boy genius kidnapped when he was still young.

Jarrod was raised by an organization known as The Centre. He was trained to used his IQ to become a Pretender. His mentor was Sydney played by Patrick Bauchau who also become a father figure to him. He eventually escaped the hands of the people around the Centre after he learned that that they uses the information gathered from his simulations for bad purposes. He traveled the United States and help people using his gift.

The Centre has to have him and would not give up easily, they recruit Sydney and Miss Parker to go after him. Sydney was the only one close with Jarrod and he knows how he thinks. Miss Parker played by Andrea Parker was his childhood friend and the daughter of the man who runs the Centre. The two are aided by Broots a computer genius.
