Based from Dwayne McDuffie's comic book with the same title, Static Shock was produced by Warner Bros. and became one of the finest, mass appealing animated TV series since it was premiered September 2000, and for almost half decade of entertaining series which also won many awards from Humanitaz Prize and Daytime Emmy Awards. Story about a typical African-American teenager Virgil Ovid Hawkins dealing with schoolings, social issues, family problems, racism and gangs where he got involved in a major rumble in a chemical storage yard. Chemical explosions results Virgil and others exposed in mutagenic gas that give him ability to control electromagnetic electricity at his will, while others who gained powers called 'Bang Babies' use it to terrorize people around the city.

Virgil, in the name of 'Shock' with the help of his genius inventive best friend Richie who later also gain special power and call himself 'Gear', became a superhero who patrolling the sky, fighting crimes and stopping bad Bang Babies and city super villains and save the Dakota City.
